Process

Once you have determined what “hand pose” you want to make, you will place your hand in a gelatin-like substance for 30 – 60 seconds which will make the “negative impression.”  It is very important during this time to remain very still so that the impression will not be distorted by unnecessary movement.  The material is non-toxic and clean which allows for no age restriction.

When the material is “set,” you will be asked to very carefully remove your hand.  We will then pour up the model in hydracal which is a hard, white plaster and let it harden for approximately 30 – 60 minutes.  It will then be removed from the gelatin and detailed.

You may choose to have your sculpture mounted on a stone base which will guarantee your piece of art for life.  You can also order a personalized engraved brass plate delivered to you through the mail to complete your sculpture.
